Different regiments within the Indian Army have unique mottoes and war cries. For instance, the Madras Regiment has the motto "Veera Madrassi, Adi Kollu" (Brave Madrassi, Strike and Kill), while the Brigade of Guards uses "Garud ka hun bol pyare" (I am the son of Garuda, Say O my friend). Other examples include the Garhwal Rifles with "Badri Vishal Lal Ki Jai" (Victory to the Sons of Lord Badrinathare), and the Naga Regiment with "Jai Durga Naga" (Hail Durga Naga).
