What do we see when we look at a mosaic - art that saves us, or the past that holds us? In one fragment, smalt - the colors of childhood, and in the other - the ghost of the totalitarian past. Should Soviet mosaics be preserved in Ukraine? What if they speak with the voices of artists who were not afraid to be Ukrainians even in the USSR?
