However, parliamentary regulations provide that amendments may be tabled or re-tabled before the public session. As a reminder, several thousand amendments have already been tabled for the first part of the budget. My expert opinion: we're not done yet – rejection in committee does not prevent the possibility of reviving certain amendments, their rewording, or a new version of the text. In public sessions, many MPs or political groups may seek to reinstate strong measures already rejected in committee. This means that nothing is set in stone yet. But for those with a LMNP (Local Real Estate Investment Plan), this is a potential game-changer. 💥 Is the LMNP (Local Real Estate Investment Plan) living its last days? It's no joke: an explosive amendment has just been passed, and it could well bury the favorite tax benefit of furnished rental investors... You know, that famous LMNP depreciation that allowed you (still) to pay almost nothing in taxes on your rent? Boom. Eliminated. 🙃 And we're not talking about a Sunday debate between accountants...
