Mafia - Definitive Edition is a 2020 action-adventure game developed by Hangar 13 and published by 2K. It is a remake of the 2002 video game Mafia and the fourth entry in the series. Like the original game, the remake is set within the fictional city of Lost Heaven, Illinois, during the 1930s, and follows the rise and fall of Tommy Angelo, a Sicilian American cab driver-turned-gangster, within the Salieri crime family. February 2nd, 1933. The year is 1933. During these days, Frank had to deal with day-to-day orders for the family, and this time, he wanted Tommy to help Sam and Paulie secure a shipment of booze from Canada. Paulie and Tommy heading to the countryside. At the countryside, Tommy feels suspicious upon discovering that no one seems to be present, prompting Paulie and him to search for Sam. After surveying around the farm, Tommy decided to return back to the truck, only to discover that a member of the bootleggers is dead, and that there was an ambush party telling him to put his gun down. After a prolonged stare down, Tommy decided to defend himself, and a shootout ensues. After the gunfight, Paulie rejoined with Tommy and discovered that the ambushers were plainclothes Lost Heaven Border Patrol agents that had been paid off by Morello. Instead of focusing on the booze shipment, the pair decided on searching for, and rescuing Sam, who was pinned down and subsequently shot by additional ambushers. After a lengthy confrontation with the additional agents and members of the Lost Heaven Police Department, Tommy caries the injured Sam into a truck, as the trio fled away from the scene. Escaping the ambush, the trio is met with a heavy police presence spearheaded by a Bulworth Sentry, prompting Tommy to defend the truck while keeping Sam conscious. After the police have been dealt with, the trio make their way to the doctor who agrees to aid the wounded Sam. After the doctor's visit, Tommy returned the truck to Salieri's Warehouse and drove back home.
