Ginny Weds Sunny 2 Review — Sucharita Tyagi on Avinash Tiwary's Film

Sucharita Tyagi reviews Ginny Weds Sunny 2, the 2026 Hindi romantic comedy directed by Prasshant Jha and produced by Soundrya Production and Zee Studios, starring Avinash Tiwary and Medha Shankar. According to Tyagi, this spiritual sequel to Ginny Weds Sunny offers a sum-total of zero redeeming factors — not even at the level of craft. Her sharp critique unpacks some baffling creative choices: two families in separate scenes treating sex like buying a new TV, characters discovering social media only in the pre-climax, and exposition so flat it borders on parody. A standout low point is Sunny's father calling him in tears, genuinely convinced his son has become a cab driver in Delhi simply because he picked up his wife from the office a couple of times. The film is also loaded with set-piece scenes — a gurdwara sequence, a Holi celebration, an akhada by the Ganga, and an aarti by the Ganga — that feel disconnected and alien. Tyagi's central hypothesis: every character behaves as though they have arrived on Earth for the very first time and have no idea how humans interact. A must-watch review for anyone curious whether this sequel improves on its predecessor or simply repeats familiar tropes with less charm. #GinnyWedsSunny2 #SucharitaTyagi #BollywoodReview #HindiRomCom #MovieReview #Lykstage #LykstageVideo #LykstageCreator #LykstageCommunity
