Aamir Khan & Mansoor Khan on Ek Din, QSQT, and 38 Years Together

Aamir Khan and Mansoor Khan reunite on InFocus with Anupama Chopra, 38 years after their landmark 1988 debut Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak, to discuss Ek Din — the Sunil Pandey-directed romantic drama starring Junaid Khan and Sai Pallavi in her Hindi debut. In a wide-ranging, often funny conversation, the cousins revisit their creative partnership across QSQT, Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikander, and Akele Hum Akele Tum, and explore how Mansoor — who walked away from films two decades ago to make cheese in Coonoor — remains the one person Aamir trusts to complete his films in his absence. The duo unpack their philosophy on remakes, the alternate happy ending they secretly shot for QSQT, why test screenings are non-negotiable for Aamir, the scene in Laal Singh Chaddha he wishes he had handled differently, and the trip to Murshidabad to record Ek Din's title track with Arijit Singh. They also open up about the long-gestating adaptation of Mansoor's novel One: The Story of the Ultimate Myth — the project Aamir hopes will finally bring his cousin back to the director's chair. #Lykstage #LykstageVideo #LykstageCreator #LykstageCommunity
