Gujarat Monsoon 2024: 11 Experts Predict 40–50 Inches of Rainfall

Eleven rain science experts gathered at a Jalkranti Trust meeting in Rajkot have issued a major monsoon forecast for Gujarat this year. According to the forecasters, Gujarat is expected to receive better than normal rainfall, with an estimated 40 to 50 inches of rain across the season. Experts also advised farmers on three optimal sowing windows — June 15, June 21, and July 3 — each determined based on anticipated rainfall patterns. On the cyclone front, specialists confirmed there is no significant risk of a major disaster or cyclone hitting Gujarat this year. The monsoon is expected to withdraw from the state around October 15.
