Ingredients Rice: 2 cups (Basmati works best) Water: 3 cups, boiled Green Peas: ½ cup (fresh or frozen) Fats: 2 tbsp Butter Aromatics: 1 medium onion (chopped), 1 tsp Ginger-Garlic paste Whole Spices: 4 Black peppercorns, 4 Cloves, 1 small Cinnamon stick, 1 Cardamom (Elaichi) Seasoning: 1 Chicken Maggi cube, Salt to taste Preparation Steps Sauté the Aromatics: Heat the butter in a heavy-bottomed pan over medium heat. Once melted, add the black pepper, cloves, cinnamon, and cardamom. Let them sizzle for a few seconds until fragrant. Soften the Onions: Stir in the chopped onions and sauté until they become translucent. Add the ginger-garlic paste and cook for another minute until the raw smell disappears. Build the Base: Add the green peas and a pinch of salt. Give it a quick stir to coat the peas in the spiced butter. The Simmer: Pour in the 3 cups of boiled water. Crumble the Chicken Maggi cube into the water and stir well to ensure it dissolves completely. Cook the Rice: Add the raw rice to the pan. Bring to a gentle boil, then turn the heat to low. Cover the pan with a tight lid. The Finish: Let it simmer until the water is fully absorbed and the rice is fluffy and tender. Turn off the heat and let it rest covered for 5 minutes before fluffing with a fork. Serving Suggestion Serve hot and enjoy with your favorite fried chicken, grilled fish, #goan #food #shorts
