How Tower Bridge Almost Looked Completely Different

Tower Bridge is one of London's most iconic landmarks, but its final design was chosen from dozens of ambitious proposals submitted before construction began. This video explores the unusual and creative concepts that were seriously considered, from grand architectural visions to bold Victorian engineering plans, revealing just how different the city's skyline could have looked. It also examines the practical challenges designers faced in building a structure that had to serve both heavy road traffic and River Thames navigation, and how innovation, vision, and pragmatism ultimately combined to produce the bridge the world recognises today. #TowerBridge #LondonHistory #VictorianEngineering #BritishArchitecture #BridgeDesign #Lykstage #LykstageVideo #LykstageCreator #LykstageCommunity
