Trekking for 20 days around the deadliest mountain massifs on the planet was the challenge of a lifetime. In this video, we head to the roof of the world in Nepal to take on a massive two-part Himalayan expedition: the legendary Annapurna Circuit and the steep push to Annapurna Base Camp (ABC). From the high-altitude, freezing deserts of the north side to the lush, humid jungles of the south, the contrast of the Himalayas is absolutely mind-blowing. Along the way, we push our limits to the absolute edge—climbing to the freezing shores of Tilicho Lake (4,919m) and fighting for oxygen as we cross the treacherous Thorong La Pass at 5,416 meters, standing higher than Mount Everest Base Camp. But this journey turned out to be about much more than just the physical altitude. While celebrating an incredible milestone of 1 million subscribers on the trail, I take some time to reflect on where my life was just four years ago. Standing under the massive 4-kilometer-high vertical wall of ice and rock at Annapurna Base Camp, I’m celebrating four years of sobriety and a complete life turnaround that I never thought was possible. Huge thanks to Harmen Hoek for sharing the trail, and to Himalayan Glacier, our guide Ashis, and our powerhouse porters Sanjib and S for making this dream reality. If you've ever dreamed of seeing the Himalayas or pushing your own boundaries, this one is for you.
