Inside Robert Kime's English Country Home — A Design Legend at Rest

Step inside the English countryside home of the late Robert Kime, the legendary decorator trusted by the British royal family to redesign rooms at Windsor Castle and Clarence House. Kime's personal residence is a masterclass in lived-in comfort, layered history, and effortless English charm — a space where centuries-old textiles, worn Persian carpets, and eclectic art feel as though they have evolved organically over generations. Known as the decorator's decorator, Kime championed the beauty of imperfection, blending museum-quality antiques with flea-market finds, bespoke printed fabrics, and stacks of well-thumbed books. His signature palette of faded indigos, earthy ochres, and muted reds creates an atmosphere of immediate warmth and sanctuary. This House & Garden glimpse into his personal space is a timeless tribute to a design giant who believed a truly great home should always prioritise soul, hospitality, and emotional resonance over mere visual perfection. #RobertKime #EnglishCountryHouse #InteriorDesign #TraditionalInteriors #HouseAndGarden #Lykstage #LykstageVideo #LykstageCreator #LykstageCommunity
