Inside Benedict Foley & Daniel Slowik's Dedham Vale Cottage

Step inside the charming 1804 English country cottage in the Dedham Vale where designers Benedict Foley and Daniel Slowik have crafted a home brimming with colour, antiques, art, and personality. Rather than modernising away its quirks, the pair embraced every imperfection — from the eccentric layout and narrow staircases to richly coloured rooms and a lifetime's worth of collected objects. A 1960s renovation added another layer of history, and the result is a deeply personal interior that feels relaxed, lived-in, and full of stories. Every room reflects Foley and Slowik's love of collecting and thoughtful decoration. The vibrant blue and yellow kitchen, richly coloured bedrooms, and antique-filled entertaining spaces are tied together by bold paint choices, patterned fabrics, framed artworks, ceramics, and beautifully imperfect antiques. Their approach is a masterclass in how honouring a building's history — rather than chasing perfection — produces a home with genuine warmth, character, and individuality. A must-watch for fans of English country interiors and considered cottage design. #EnglishCottage #InteriorDesign #BenedictFoley #DanielSlowik #CottageDecor #Lykstage #LykstageVideo #LykstageCreator #LykstageCommunity
