Virtual Museum Tour "Grenzen" 2020/21 — Interview with Historian Prof. Detlev Kraack | Museumstour „Grenzen" – Interview mit Prof. Detlev Kraack

Historian Prof. Dr. Detlev Kraack explores the borders, cultural ties, and history of the German-Danish-Frisian region in this expert interview from the virtual museum tour "Grenzen" 2020/21. The documentary series "Grenzen" (Borders) was originally conceived as a series of physical bus tours through the German-Danish border region as part of the German-Danish Friendship Year 2020. When the pandemic forced those plans to be cancelled, the project was reimagined and brought to life digitally in early 2021. The result is a richly layered virtual museum tour connecting audiences with carefully selected museums across the German-Danish-Frisian border region, paired with in-depth scholarly contributions from leading experts. In this interview, Prof. Dr. Detlev Kraack — a renowned historian specialising in the region — sheds light on the historical background, cultural dividing lines, and the deep entanglements that have shaped this unique border landscape over the centuries. Viewers gain a deeper understanding of how borders in the German-Danish space evolved and what they mean culturally and historically today. A compelling watch for anyone interested in Schleswig-Holstein, regional history, or German-Danish relations. #GermanDanishHistory #Museumstour #SchleswigHolstein #DetlevKraack #Kulturgeschichte #Lykstage #LykstageVideo #LykstageCreator #LykstageCommunity
