Heart of the Beast is an American survival action thriller directed by David Ayer and starring Brad Pitt. The film follows James Belmont (Brad Pitt), a retired US Army Special Forces veteran living with severe PTSD, and his loyal retired military working dog, a German Shepherd named Odin. While flying a Cessna seaplane into the remote Alaskan backcountry, Belmont suffers a medical emergency—a sudden heart attack—causing the plane to crash into an isolated lake. Stranded dozens of miles away from civilization, Belmont and Odin must embark on a punishing 58-mile trek through the unforgiving Alaskan wilderness. As they battle harsh terrain, freezing elements, and dangerous predators like grizzly bears and wolf packs, the journey becomes an exploration of endurance, trauma, and the unbreakable bond between a soldier and his canine partner. * Director: David Ayer * Cast: Brad Pitt, J.K.
