Mullum Malarum is a deeply evocative Malayalam poem by Sindhu Bharathi, featured on Koottaksharangal, a platform dedicated to Malayalam literary stories and poetry. The poem meditates on the bittersweet nature of love — how tenderness can take root and grow, only to find itself entangled in thorns. With vivid, aching imagery, Sindhu Bharathi captures the quiet pain of love that blooms toward something sharp, and the hurt that lingers long after — whether the thorn pierces or is pulled away. By the time that pain is felt, love has already flowered into a boundary of thorns, overflowing its borders, becoming a voice that cuts at the edges.
