The Ballad of Black Tom — Racism and Cosmic Horror in Lovecraft

The Ballad of Black Tom reframes H.P. Lovecraft's cosmic horror to expose the racism, fear, and violence that traditional horror often leaves unspoken. This video examines the themes, atmosphere, and disturbing social truths buried beneath the supernatural dread of one of the most unsettling works inspired by Lovecraftian fiction. Beyond the haunting imagery and weird fiction trappings lies a powerful argument: humanity itself may be the most terrifying force in the shadows. From the reshaping of cosmic horror conventions to unflinching social commentary, this deep-dive explores how The Ballad of Black Tom confronts the uncomfortable realities that classic horror has long kept hidden — and why those truths hit harder than any monster ever could. #TheBalladOfBlackTom #LovecraftianHorror #CosmicHorror #HorrorAnalysis #WeirdFiction #Lykstage #LykstageVideo #LykstageCreator #LykstageCommunity
