Pegula Beats Anisimova in National Bank Open Toronto Final 2024

Jessica Pegula defended her National Bank Open title in Toronto, defeating Amanda Anisimova 6-3, 2-6, 6-1 in an all-American WTA 1000 final. Pegula's trademark baseline consistency and composed court coverage proved decisive across three sets, earning her back-to-back Canadian Open crowns and cementing her status as the top-ranked American heading into the US Open. Anisimova put up a fierce fight, dominating the second set after a standout week that included multiple top-ten upsets. But Pegula reset masterfully in the decider, using sharp returns and relentless coverage to neutralise Anisimova's raw power and seal the trophy in a thrilling hard-court contest. #NationalBankOpen #WTA1000 #JessicaPegula #AmandaAnisimova #TennisFinal #Lykstage #LykstageVideo #LykstageCreator #LykstageCommunity
