This travel documentary investigates the darker, lesser-seen side of Sri Lanka — going beyond the beaches and lush landscapes to uncover hidden realities, local neighbourhoods, and social contrasts that most tourists never encounter. Travelling with curiosity and an open mind, this journey captures candid observations, unexpected discoveries, and honest conversations that paint a fuller, more complex picture of island life in Sri Lanka. From off-the-beaten-path locations to the everyday challenges faced by local communities, every moment challenges the postcard version of this South Asian destination.
