#pippa #video #ishaankhattar ‪@ARRahman‬ agreed to do a war film. Why? For him the film was less about 3 countries – India, Pakistan, Bangladesh and more about 3 siblings. All of them fought the war of 1971 that gave birth to a new nation – Bangladesh. Pippa is based on the various events during Bangladesh Liberation War of 1971. It is considered to be a defining moment in the history & geography of Asia. Celebrated director of Airlift wanted only Rahman for the film Pippa. His choices for the cast – Ishaan Khatter, Mrunal Thakur were unusual. Moreover his interpretation of 1971 War didn’t have any place for jingoism. Why? Raja Krishna Menon spills the beans.
