Kadambari Creations presents Moluwa-the adorable one Directed by Samujjal Kashyap Produced by Pramod Das About the film- The documentary that endeavours to explore some interesting as well as some unique facets of Satra Nagari (Temple Town) Barpeta. It paints a visual poetry that opens with Sri Gokul Pathak, a nonagenarian Gandhian and freedom fighter whose leftist leanings is inspired from the Bhagavad-Gita. The difference in eastern and western Assam range over the whole field of phonology, morphology and vocabulary, the film reveals how the permutation of a language's fortunes depend on power and political map-making decides linguistic identities and a particular dialect became a dialect of yokels..Beautifully threaded by various folk songs, art and culture, the documentary also makes a sincere attempt for an unbiased take on the age-old restriction of entry of women into Barpeta’s renowned ‘Kirtan-Ghar’. The 500-year old Assamese folk song Nau khel Geet (boat race song) builds up the crescendo to complete the film's poetic exposition of Barpeta which has outlived the actual event of Boat racing.
