#AssameseShortFilm #ShortFilm #FilmFestival Maya Baidew-An Assamese Short Film releasing on 27th February 2021. Written, Directed & Edited by Samujjal Kashyap Edited by Gautam Mazumdar Cinematography by Raja Baruah, Saif Khan, Samujjal Kashyap Background Score by Harjeet Diaz We at KC Digital Films made this film ‘Maya Baidew’ in the year 2019 before we did the short film ‘Arranged’ in 2020 that became highly popular in youtube and although 2020 hit by covid-19 disrupted many film festivals still we could manage official selections across many festivals like Toronto Lift-Off Film Festival, 9th Delhi Short International Film Festival, 7th Goa Short Film Festival, 11th Dada Saheb Phalke Film Festival, 9th Kolkata Short International Film Festival while also being the winner as the best regional short film in the Rajasthan International Film Festival. The cast mostly non-actors apart from a few however could pull the right chords and help the story which needed to be told in a realistic way. Prajna Sharma, Satyen Das, Jintu Neel Baishya, Rupam Ryan Deka, Aarhi Bezbaruah are few of the leading actors in the film. Now as we end the festival circuit of Maya Baidew it’s time for us to take this film to the masses and we would be very happy if people likes it and recommends, as the film addresses a serious issue that’s prevalent in our society today, that would help us in creating the awareness that we wish to bring in the society. ‘Maya Baidew’ is set to release on 27th February 2021 and we seek your help and blessings to take it to the people.
