Crispiest Baingan Pakora With A Twist - Eggplant Fritters - Beguni - Eggplant Bhaji In this video I showed how to make a popular street food of Kolkata (city in West Bengal, India) commonly known as Beguni in Bengali or Baingan pakora in Hindi. People love to have this pakora as a snack with an evening cup of tea along with a bowl of crunchy puffed rice. I often serve it as a side along with rice and dal. 🔔Please click on the link below and subscribe to Curries With Bumbi so that I can bring more new recipes for you-- / @currieswithbumbi Ingredients required for making Beguni - serves 3 to 4 For the batter - * gram flour(besan) - 1 cup * turmeric powder (haldi) - 1 teaspoon * kashmiri red chili powder - 1 teaspoon. You can even use ordinary red chili powder, in that case use less. Or you can even use paprika or cayenne pepper. * salt - I used little less than a teaspoon. Please adjust according to your preference. * baking powder - 1 teaspoon * cornflour(cornstarch) - 2 heaped tablespoons. Adding too much will make the batter hard. You can even use rice flour instead. * nigella seeds(kalonji/kalojeere) - 1/2 teaspoon * cold chilled water - I used 1/2 a cup but please do not stick to this proportion. You may need more or less depending on the variety of your gram flour. * hot oil - 1 tablespoon For the fritters - * eggplant - 2 medium sized * cheese - I used American cheese slices. You can use any cheese according to your preference. * oil - for deep frying Share the photos of your culinary success by emailing me - My email - bumbicurry@gmail.com Facebook - / currieswithbumbi
