First Steps for my New Biz - Patent Search & NDAs ｜｜ Building a Biz From Scratch (Ep 3)

Today's episode of starting a business from scratch (and posting it all on YouTube) gets into the FIRST TWO steps that I took for my new business idea: patent searching and non-disclosure agreements. Since my new business is going to be based on a product/invention (a new type of pet carrier), I needed to know right off the bat if my idea already exists. Now that I've completed a patent search, but before applying for an actual patent, I am using generic non-disclosure agreements (NDAs) to protect my intellectual property while I have conversations with product designers and prototype manufacturers. These two first steps seem to be business best practices when starting to develop a new product. NOT taking these steps would be a huge risk!
