How IPL and T20 Leagues Ruined Cricket Forever

Cricket is a bat-and-ball game that is played between two teams of eleven players on a field at the centre of which is a 22-yard pitch with a wicket at each end, each comprising two bails balanced on three stumps. The Indian Premier League, also known as the TATA IPL for sponsorship reasons, is a men's Twenty20 cricket league held annually in India. Founded by the BCCI in 2007, the league features ten state or city-based franchise teams. The IPL usually takes place during the summer, between March and May each year.
