I Want to Eat Your Pancreas is a coming-of-age story about a high school student who discovers his classmate's secret terminal illness and the two develop a relationship as she lives out her final months. Film The 2018 animated drama film, directed by Jun'ichi Fujise, Tomoyuki Itamura, and Masaharu Tomoda, is about the student, "Me", who is drawn to Sakura, his polar opposite.
