ХЕРСОН The Russians took about 170,000 exhibits from Kherson museums, including Scythian gold and valuable archaeological finds. Collaborator Oleksandr Kuzmenko, an ex-communist and music teacher, helped organize the large-scale theft. The occupiers appointed him the so-called "Minister of Culture" of the Kherson region. Kuzmenko not only robbed museums but also compiled lists of "unfortunate" Ukrainians for the Russians. After the de-occupation of Kherson, the collaborator fled with the occupiers. Now Kuzmenko is likely to continue collaborative activities in the rest of the occupied territories of the Kherson region.
