Plum Jam Filled Snow Kifli Ingredients: 4 cups (500 g) of flour, a little more than 2 sticks (250 g) of butter, 3/4 cup (180 g) of sour cream, 1 egg yolk, 1/2 cup (60 g) of powdered sugar, 1 packet of vanilla sugar, 1 teaspoon of baking powder, 2 pinches of salt Filling: thick, pectin-free plum jam Coating: ½ cup (50 g) of powdered sugar mixed with 1 packet (9 g) of vanilla sugar Here is an easy-to make snow kifli recipe. Even those of you without any baking experience can do it. The only thing you need to pay attention to is using a pectin-free, thick plum jam. Pectin-free jam will not run out of the kiflis. I used “Wolsky” Plum butter. You can make ahead this delicious treat and freeze it. If you freeze it, don't roll them in powdered sugar, just after defrosting. Combine the flour, salt and baking powder. Crumble the room-temperature butter into the flour, then add the powdered sugar, vanilla sugar, egg yolks and sour cream. Knead the ingredients into a dough. Place the dough on a floured surface and knead it for one more minute. Transfer the dough in a plastic bag and rest it in the fridge for 30 minutes. After resting, on a floured surface roll it out into a 2-3 mm thick round shape. Cut out 3 inch-wide (7 cm) disks. Place a small teaspoon of plum jam on the middle, then fold the dough over and seal around the jam. Roll the dough into a crescent shape and place it into a parchment paper-lined baking pan. Bake it in a preheated 355F oven for approximately 13-15 minutes. When the bottom of the edges has a golden-brown color, but the top still looks pale, they are done. Let them cool down just a little bit, then roll the kiflis in powdered sugar mixed with vanilla sugar.
