In this short video, we answer the question of when is the best time to visit Greece? Greece has a Mediterranean climate, with mild, wet winters and dry, hot summers. Tourist season typically runs from the Greek Orthodox Easter (April 19th in 2020) through to mid-late October, depending on which island you visit. Larger or more popular islands tend to stay open later than less touristy ones. We recommend visiting either late May/early June or mid-September for the best combination of weather, prices and not being overcrowded. Peak season is mid-July through to early September, coinciding with school summer holidays for most European countries.
