#writing #reading #meiteimayek Hi guys, welcome to 'Learn Manipuri Language'. Today you are going to learn something new from this video. You can start learning wrting and reading in Meitei mayek by watching this video. In this video I teach you how to write and read Meitei Mayek at the beginner level.. Hello everyone, welcome back to another episode. Today in this video, you will learn how to form syllables by combining Mapi Mayek i.e. Kok, Sam, Lai, Mit, etc with Cheitap Mayek i.e. Aatap, Inap, Yetnap, etc. If you don’t know Mapi Mayek and Cheitap Mayek, then please watch this video first. So, let’s start learning. Mapi Mayek + Aatap Mapi Mayek + Inap Mapi Mayek + Yetnap Mapi Mayek + Unap Mapi Mayek + Otnap Mapi Mayek + Sounap Mapi Mayek + Cheinap Mapi Mayek + Nung Apun: The letter Apun is in those types of syllables where two consonants and a vowel join together such as tra-, tre-, pro-, pre-, etc. Let’s take an example in Meitei Mayek to understand it better. Example: tra- NOTE: Use of ‘aatap’ in the correct way. (a/aa) There are some words such as Karan, Rabi, Tomba, etc in which we add the letter ‘a’ while writing in the English alphabet. But we should not add ‘aatap’ to these words where the sound of ‘aatap’ is silent. Because it will produce a different sound like this: Let’s take the word ‘Karan’ as an example. If we add ‘aatap’ to the syllable ‘ran’ of the word ‘Karan’ then it will become ‘Karaan’. So, you should add ‘Aatap’ depending on the sound of the syllable. NOTE: Inap/Eenap = i or ee. NOTE: Unap = u or oo.
