The present song, based on Desh raag and Ektaal, was composed by Tagore in the year 1884, and was later on put to notation by Indira Devi Chowdhrani, his niece. The song belongs to the category 'Puja' and sub-category 'Bibidha', and is created in the mood of 'Kirtan' - a genre of Bengali devotional music. Here, however, I've tried to offer an exclusive treatment by employing a different soundscape through the mixture of Asian and western instruments, albeit without tampering with the basic framework of the notation and mood.
