CHENNAI Marina is a natural urban beach in Chennai, India, along the Bay of Bengal. The beach starts from near Fort St. George in the north to ends in Foreshore Estate in the south, a distance of 6 kms So it is called as the longest natural urban beach in the country. Taking Bath and swimming at the Marina Beach are legally prohibited by the Government because of the dangers, as the undercurrent is very turbulent. It is one of the most crowded beaches in the country and attracts about 30,000 visitors a day during weekdays and 50,000 visitors a day during the weekends and on holidays. The Marina beach is closed for public visit due to Corona pandemic and guarded by the police along the beach and able to see them in this video. So the video was captured on Kamaraj Salai which is running along the Marina Beach.
