This Terminus is located in Perambur which is a neighborhood located in the northern region of Chennai. This neighborhood is well connected to all places of Chennai city by bus services operated by the Metropolitan Transport Corporation (MTC). Its proximity to the Chennai Central railway station makes it an important transport hub. Major Bus Nos are : 29A, 29C, 29D, 29E, 29N, 29M, 29L, 48A, 164, 64B, 42, 42B, 42C, 46C, 46, S62, S164, 242,142 and 142B. This neighborhood has a railway station, in addition to the railway station serving to decongest the Chennai Central station by serving as a major alighting point for long distance trains passing through or terminating in the city from the North-Western end.
