I have two daughters, twins, Gurleen and Gurisha. After countless prayers and wishes, these little blessings came into our home. They are just 2 years and 8 months old. This Diwali has been more beautiful than any other, because my daughters have started to understand, even if just a little, the true essence of Diwali. Every year during Diwali, I take an imprint of my daughters' tiny feet. It’s such a beautiful feeling, knowing that their little steps are bringing happiness and prosperity into our home. The worship of Goddess Lakshmi teaches us that every form of woman—whether as a mother, wife, sister, or daughter—holds the highest place in the universe. This truth is embraced wholeheartedly by my husband and my parents as well. This Diwali, let us celebrate our Lakshmis with all our love, every day. Then every day will feel like Diwali. Along with every home's light, the glow of the diyas, and the beauty of the rangoli, it is the Lakshmis of your home that make it truly shine, and they will forever continue to do so.
