The platform measures earnings by genuine watch time rather than by views or clicks. Every 30 seconds of uninterrupted, monetised viewing is counted as one Watch-Time Unit, the foundational economic unit of the platform.

How Earnings Work
On LYKSTAGE, earnings are generated through eligible monetized watch time.
When a viewer stays with content and an ad is served during that viewing and watched in full without skipping, that watch time becomes monetized and the resulting ad revenue is apportioned.
The creator earns first from this monetized watch time, regardless of whether the viewer is logged in or logged out.
If the viewer is logged in, they can also be rewarded for eligible monetized watch time units in LYK Coins.
If the viewer is not logged in, the creator may still earn, but the viewer does not receive any reward because there is no account available to credit.
Currently, LYK Coins are mapped to a US dollar value. In the future, LYK Coins are also expected to be usable within the LYKSTAGE ecosystem for experiences such as renting premium content and LYKSTAGE shopping.
